Changi Beach!

Had lotsa fun at Changi Beach today!I met up with Jinghan and Jasmine at Changi village for lunch before lab. wah the nasi lemak is like shiok arh! haha.

Then we went over Changi beach at around 2:30pm... we wandered around while waiting for the rest to come from NUS...we managed to find the TA's headquarters when we were wandering along the beach...the TAs were on their way back with their catch. Then...while waiting...we took some photos and admire the "shuai shuai TA" --> not the Toh but JC...hahah at least he has more charm....Jas and Jing agree that the TA whom Fel they all say shuai one...is not shuai =)

Finally the rest came and we started our expedition!I managed to find a large clam which we tried to pry open....dunno if it's alive anot....alvin and i each caught a hermit crab...DAMN CUTE super small la...then crawl super fast. When we went over to the rocky area...we found these weird...slimy thingy stuck to the rock....Jas and i totally freaked out when we touched them...we asked Fern (our TA)but she's not too sure what's that...so we were thinking probably it's new species! we were busy trying to name it. Jas and Fern tried to remove the "thingy" from the rock so that we can bring over to the other TAs to ask what it might be. There were only 2 of this "thingy" ...we removed one but alvin lost it...so we took the other one off the rock too....(hopefully not wiping off the species).

We brought the thingy back and asked Eunice (the other TA)..."IT'S SEA ANEMONE, YOU MEAN U REMOVED IT?! PUT IT BACK~! OMG!" wah we totally panicked...but i tink at the end we never put it back...gosh...really sorry we din mean to do that to you! >.<

The best part of the trip was GETTING WET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was so freaking fun...i think we are the only group where the entire group went into the water....we try to trap the organisms in the net and bring it back to shore...the first try wasn't so good cause our location not so good...many groups have fished there so the organisms kinda depleted...then we moved to another area...not bad...some crabs, fish...

however we still not very happy with our catch...so we decided to go in the THIRD TIME. We went even futher into the sea, hoping to catch more...everyone was damn High...then suddenly one guy asked "hmm there's a possibility that we will get stung by a jellyfish right?" everyone paused...Fern replied "YES" then our faces kinda changed...hahha but we heck la....this time, the catch was SUPERB! we caught a seahorse, prawns, crabs, fish, worm, clam, and some bubble like thingys. it's quite funny when we are sorting our catch...we'll go..."FISH FISH FISH! CRAB CRAB CRAB! PRAWN PRAWN PRAWN~!" i picked up one of the bubble like thing and examined the transparent structure...boingy boingy...the texture damn nice...we were thinking it's probably eggs...then Jas came over..."Fern said it's jelly fish! quick throw into water!" wah i panick la....faster throw into the water...then it started moving! hahah damn cute... next part even scarier...we only had 1 tank...then Fern asked..."did you guys just threw the fish and crabs into the same tank?" then we proudly said like we threw everything into 1 tank...then she freaked out..."OH NO!!!! SEPARATE THEM! THE CRABS WILL EAT THE FISHES! OMG!" then we panick again la...faster sort...then we took our catch back..preparing to leave...

Suddenly, Jas stopped..."SHIYUN! GOT CUTTLEFISH!" i went over to see...gosh the cuttlefish was like dead...then i asked Fern to come over...she picked up the cuttlefish and brought it back...threw it into Nicholas's bucket. Jas and i went over to check out the cuttlefish ...touched it...then Nicholas said "Becareful, it 'stings'" then we were like "huh? it's dead alreadi...how it stings?" nick said "no no! it stings" then we paused..."u mean STINK not STING" Nick replied "Yah, Mr Darryl lee smelt it and it stinks" hahahahahahhahahaha oman...was lyk niu tou bu dui ma zui.

Wah had great fun at Changi Beach today...got to touch and see seahorses which apparently looks exotic...OOOH AND THE JELLYFISHES SUPER KAWAII!!!!!!!!!!!i'm glad my benchmates are damn fun...there were times when we laughed so badly....especially when Nick tried to like pull off some act...hahaha damn fun la ....2 hrs totally not enough!!!!!!!!!! (plus...the good thing is, there's no test!)
